Established in March 2018 with a registered capital of RMB 400 million, China Broadcasting Network International Co., Ltd. (abbre. CBNI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Broadcasting Network Co., Ltd. (abbre.CBN) which acts as the latter’s primary entity for the overseas businesses. CBN, is directly under the State Administration of Radio and Television, and a Central Cultural Enterprise invested by the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China. CBN plays the main role of marketing for the integration of the national cable television networks, and turns the triple play into the main player of broadcasting. It's widely deemed as "the 4th Operator” after China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom.
In response to the Belt and Road Initiative, a new set of goals involving countries along the Belt and Road arises, which requires China to both promote cooperation on broadcasting transmission capabilities, as well as consolidate interactions of Movies and Television culture. To meet such requirements, CBNI takes full advantage of the resources as a Central Cultural Enterprise and “The 4th Operator” ,leads the projects cooperation, introduces multivariate capitals, and provides the following products and services: Investment, Establishment, and Operation of Broadcasting Networks; Contents Localization, Communication, and Copyright Trade ; as well as the development of Internet Vas. It can be seen through such endeavors that CBNI is fully committed to not only creating a broadcasting community which realizes mutual benefits, win-win cooperation, network interconnection, subscriber's intercommunication, but also providing a diverse, high-quality, highly-efficient, and integrated broadcasting services to people in countries along the Belt and Road.
